Can you see the BIG difference?

Here are some of our works this year.. If you're comparing us with the other copy cat suppliers, watch very carefully and see very very well what makes AeroEye Asia number one!

2011: What a year this was!

Another year full of adventures and I can't help but smile as I look back to what AeroEye Asia has accomplished this year. We were just targeting about 47 aerial contracts.. I lost count after 60.. Aiming for just one TV guesting appearance, the final count now is three TV guesting features! Our works are everywhere! --TVCs (Pharmaton, DBP, Milo, Globe Telecoms, et al), Station IDs, National Anthem (ABS-CBN Lupang Hinirang), MOVIES (Thelma, Who's that Girl, Bulong), Beauty Pagents (Miss World), NEWS and SPORTING EVENTS (Ironman, Camsur Marathon, TriUnited, Bike United). Our air travels brought us to Cebu(3), Davao(2), Cagayan de Oro(2), Bukidnon(2), Puerto Princesa(1), and Boracay (3).

This year also saw the emergence of new players in the industry. Anyone with a weak heart would easily fold and panic, --seeing how heavily these COPY CAT suppliers are investing on equipment. Nauna porma, eh. That is exactly how I was when I started an I.T. company back in 1999.. Nauna ang porma.. Hayun nalugi, I had no choice but to close it. Too much porma wasn't sustainable for the business. Yabang nalang and pride was the one that kept it running till I ran out of money and had no choice but to close the company. And I'm glad I did. It taught me a lot of lessons about how to really do business. It's all about being practical. I am very proud to say that when I started AeroEye Asia back in late 2006-early 2007 and offered an alternative and affordable means of doing aerial photography and aerial videography, WE CHANGED THE RULES OF THE GAME! And now, madami nang gaya-gaya! Ahihi! ;-)

With AeroEye Asia, "ang bida ang client namin, hindi kami". Once we get the green light to publish our works, we flaunt it with pride. What our clients appreciate most about AeroEye Asia is our ways to help them cut on cost and find solutions that are right on the dot. And to borrow the slogan of one of the Philippines' leading financial institutions, yes, "we find ways".

Safety is our number one concern with our operations. We are very honest with our limitations. We know when to say NO and we're really firm about it.

I am actually flattered that people are copying us! This is a sign that finally I'm in a business that everyone is seeing with big potentials! When I was starting, wala pang gaanong pumapansin sa akin noon.. They think my business was a joke.. Ngayong umaasenso na kami, umaasenso piloto ko, biglang "charang!", eto na ang mga "gaya-gaya"! Haha!

But unknowingly to them, "iniisip palang ng mga copy cats na ito, nagawa na namin"! Wala naman kasi sa gamit eh. Nasa ganda ng composition, quality ng output and dedication and passion to the business. Ikanga, "Wala sa Pana, Nasa Indian.". My aerial business is a product of marketing research and a good understanding and putting into practice the art of business acumen.

I am really proud of my team right now. We have the right mix of talents, abilities, skills and experience to make it all happen. I finally found the right partners who share my vision.

Thank you Lord Jesus for all your blessings and may 2012 be another fruitful year for AeroEye Asia! Amen!

Cebu!

Yes, we're back in Cebu! The land of Cebu Lechon as my friend would describe it.. Took the 6:40AM CebuPac flight and our usual 90Kg checked-in baggage is now down to just 60Kg! We were able to minimize since our aerial shoot is aerial stills only. Flight was really smooth and quiet, no "show me" contest for early morning flights. Was seated at 1A, making it another pleasant experience. We arrived 15mins ahead of schedule, our baggages were out almost immediately. Our client's representative here in Cebu treated us to breakfast first before heading out to our first take-off point at Cebu Temple. Weather was perfect, blue skies, we were able to take aerial stills with just a minor concern with the retracts. Retracts switch needs replacing already.

Second location and take-off point we had to call-off the shoot since rain clouds suddenly appeared. Had lunch at the hotel and had Texan steak at Golden Prince. We tried resuming the aerial shoot around 4PM that same day but 4PM was too dark already in Cebu would you believe?!

The next day we had to leave early to do a takas shoot since the client had some concerns with securing a permit.. We were in and out of the area 15 minutes tops and was successful in executing the takas shots mission impossible style. Yes, we're that good. :-)

Next project site: SM City Consolacion. Just one flight and we're done as well. By 9AM Day 2, mission accomplished already. Lunch was a real treat, VP invited us to join him for lunch and we had bulalo, calamares, talaba, panga, lechon kawali and kilawin.

Mactan airport by 6PM. Flight back was unpleasant, the ATR's air-conditioning system wasn't working right and the FA in front wasn't smiling at and was so "taray" to everybody.. She must be having a bad day.

Important lesson learned from this trip:
Never choose ATR flights to and from Cebu! Flight time is much longer than via Airbus.

BGC Shoot

Our shoot this morning was a breeze.. The sun was finally out after a week of rains.. Was in BGC around 8AM, tested the two Helicams.. Studied the shot requirement that will show vastness of BGC and link the scene to 2Serendra.. moved to an ideal take-off point near High Street.. executed the shot and we were done by 9AM.. Just one flight.. Client gets the stabilized clip 10:30AM via download link.. Done!

Tomorrow we leave for Cebu to do another aerial shot of Cebu Temple and a building built by our client.

Thank you Lord for the beautiful weather today! Looking forward to more beautiful sunny days ahead. :-)

What a year 2010 was!

After August 2010, things got really busy that I missed out on updating my blog..

36 Aerial Shoots
12 AVPs

As of May 19, 2010
Over quota already!
Way to go team!!

It's just recently that I discovered how easy life can be if I use my MBP's built-in applications to help me do the uploading and updating of pictures and blogs.. grrr I should have discovered this last year pa! "Hindi siguro naging stagnant ang blog na ito!" :)

So updating photos on my new blog and Facebook account has been a breeze ever since the start of 2011.. WTF?! That was quick!

I'm thinking of retracing events after August 2010.. will try to find time for it.. but for now, Hello 2011! :)
